Dave's Latest Surgery

Dave had surgery on his right shoulder again this morning. Same arm as last time, just different problem. Today's was an arthroscopic acromioplasty with distal clavicle excision.

The surgery went well and Dave is recovering.

Our Little Girls

In a 12 hour period both of our little girls were sedated and had their ears worked on.

Lucy had a run-in with Oma's dog around 7:30 PM Monday night.
And bright and early Tuesday morning, Sofia had tubes put in her ears. These pictures and video are from my phone.

Sia at the park in the evening. Like nothing ever happened.

Sofia says things sound better and louder now and her ears don't hurt anymore. Her speech also improved. Guess we should have looked into tubes sooner, but we had no idea.

Busy Weekend

Well... this is how Dave has been sleeping since his surgery. One of these nights he won't need to sleep with his arm in that blue pillow thing and he'll be back in our bed! But until then, the blue pillow thing rocks.

On Friday, Cori and Dixie took Dave to his doctor's appointments where they changed his dressings. Here is his shoulder wound...
and here is his elbow wound...
Everything seems to be healing just as it should!

On Saturday, Grandma and Great-Gramma came to visit. Great-Gramma brought Sofia a turtle from Dr. Seuss!

Sofia was finally showing off her bottom teeth! It's crazy to think these came in the week of Christmas and nothing since then. Every once in a while she drools like mad and I think the top teeth will come through but nothing yet...

And finally Sunday... Sofia helped me go through the ads and coupons...

It's about time...

After many years and many doctors, Dave finally had his arm nerve surgeries done today. They moved his ulnar nerve (funny bone) and cut a muscle/tendon in his shoulder to relieve his thoracic outlet syndrome. The surgery center told him that he had to be there by 8:30 for his 10:30 surgeries even though he went in on Friday to do his pre-op stuff. So we got there at 8:10 and he wasn't taken into the OR until 11:45!!! That was an insane wait!

A different view...

We're now home and Sofia wants to be held by and hug her daddy so bad but that will have to wait several days if not at least a week.

If any of you want to stop by this weekend or any time next week (my spring break) to rescue me from being a single parent... I'm here!!! :)
