Sia's Spring Ballet Recital

Sofia's spring ballet recital was Princess themed.
Getting ready.

V had been sick so Grandma had to stay a distance away.

She practiced her curtsy for weeks beforehand.

Aunt Cori and Lila were able to make it too!

We tried out the same art activity that Aunt Cori had at Easter

We unfortunately didn't get a picture of the final product.

Grandma's Head Shaving Party

Grandma's chemo has caused her hair to start falling out so all of the Granddaughters came over for a Head Shaving Party on Friday afternoon.

Visiting Grandma

Following complications from the survery, Grandma was re-admitted to the ICU on Monday. Yesterday, Friday, she was moved to the PCU which allows for child visitors. Today the girls and I stopped by for a little while.

Sofia had to put on her new fancy dress for the visit.

Sofia's camerawork

Grandma seems to be on the path to better health. Maybe they'll let her go home again soon. Chemo should start in the next 2 weeks.

Visiting Grandma

Grandma had surgery to address her cancer on March 1st. She went home in time for the weekend and a visit from us.

Trip to San Antonio

A few days after returning from NYC, Sofia and I flew to San Antonio to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa who were already there. This was Sofia's 2nd trip by air; the first was to San Diego last summer.

Sofia loved flying in and above the "marshmallow clouds".

San Antonio Children's Museum

Sofia loved everything about this place!

"Moooooooooo"

Dinner on our own. (Grandma and Grandpa were at a banquet with Grandma's accountant friends)

San Antonio Botanical Gardens
They had different "play houses and forts" set up all around the garden grounds for kids to explore. Grandpa and Mommy jumped in the fun too!

Sofia handled all the flying bugs very well. She didn't even freak out and scream when several bees, flys and butterflys came in for a closer look.

The Alamo

Penguin was never too far away.
