Visitor and Sisters

Mommy's childhood friend, Heather, and her daughter, Reese, came by to visit while they were in town. Sofia and Reese had a great time playing together!

A little goofiness in the bath.

Happy 2 Weeks

Happy 2 weeks, Vivian!

And what better way to celebrate than with a bath?

Vivian's First Days at Home

Car ride home from the hospital.
Lucy, curious about this new baby.
Sofia feeding Vivian all by herself!
Unknown to me, apparently it's not uncommon to get cankles after delivery, not just before. This is the first and only time I swelled up. I'm still waiting for them to get back to normal.
Vivian's first bath at home.
Vivian's first doctor's appointment - to check her jaundice levels.
Everything checked out okay!
Catching a quick cat-nap at the doc's office.
Mommy's morning cocktail.
Vivian sleeping in her crib. She looks so small!
Great Gramma and Aunt Kay stopped by for a visit.

Snow!

I know it's been nearly a week, but this was the snow in our backyard before I left for work last Wednesday.

Our silly little girl listening to the bubbles.
I put up "Let it SNOW" gel stickies this last weekend. Apparently someone didn't think they belonged where I put them.
Lucy came in for a closer look (or smell).

What Ever Happened...

... to our sweet, helpless, little girl? She's getting along quite nicely without our help these days.

She can even get food from the bowl to her mouth by means of a spoon without any help. It's not always successful, but it works well enough.

Sofia now enjoys spending time hitching rides around the house...

... eating Rice Dream...
... laying down in the bath (especially when I need her to sit up)...
... airplanes ...

... sitting at the table like a "big girl" ...
... and playing with Lucy.

This evening, Sofia packed her cell phone in her little pink bag and proceeded to walk to several doors while waving bye trying to tell us it was time to leave until Dave opened a door for her. He happened to open the garage door; Sofia then walked over to the car. He put her in the driver's seat and I took the passenger's seat. She grabbed and turned the wheel, then noticed the phone charger so she tried to plug in her phone. (sorry, no pics) It's amazing what kids pick up when you don't know they're watching!

Also, after we came back inside, she managed to open the garage door by herself. Guess it's time to buy some child-proof door handle covers.

Wii Fit and Bathtime

Sofia tried to help me play Wii Fit last night.

And she's in the process of learning how to drink from a cup. What better time to practice than in the bath with bath water!

Weekend Update

So, Lucy seems to be acting like nothing's wrong. She must not be in much pain because she's jumping up and down on furniture and running around.

Here are a few pictures of Sofia this weekend...

But Daddy! I want out!
Hangin' with Grandma...

Eating her remote...

She loves to stick out her bottom lip and blow. The spit flies everywhere...

Bath time!

My Latest View and After Bathtime

Here is my latest view of my belly/feet. There seems to be a baby in the way...

Compare to my March 8th and June 9th views.

Also, Sofia seems to not mind her baths so much, no matter who gives them, these days. Here she is getting dried off after her latest...

Today Sofia finally found herself in a mirror! I've been taking her in the bathroom nearly every day to try to get her to look, but today it finally worked! I think getting close enough so that her wandering hand touched it as she was watching helped... Sorry, no pictures yet...
