Swim Lessons Begin

Sofia started her first swim lessons without Mommy at the McKinney public pool. They split her class into 2 groups and the lifeguards rotated around having them do various things to assess their levels.

Sofia was the first to volunteer for everything.

She's excited and ready to go back tomorrow!

Vivian, on the other hand, could do without the heat. Good thing it's only 30 minutes in the morning.

Swim Lessons

Sofia had swim lessons for the 2 weeks leading up to our San Diego trip. Here are a few pictures from the last day....

We always started and ended with a "game" (song).
Playing with the toys on the stairs.
Trying to "swim".
Look at Mommy and jump in, Sofia!
(this is where she got most of the bruises on her legs)
The last week we spent the last 5 minutes every day in the shallow end.
Sofia loved to hold my hands and jump! Jump! Jump!

Happy Birthday, Sofia!

Sofia started her day by visiting Daddy at work for a few minutes then heading to swim class.

I couldn't pick just one "chair picture"...

And this afternoon involved a trip to the outlet mall to buy Sofia some more sleepers and then a lot of playing in the living room.

The coins go in the piggy bank...

... so they must also go in the dolly!

No, wait! The milk goes in the dolly!

And no day is complete without feeding puffs to Lucy.

On a side note... Sofia finally started keeping her sunglasses on yesterday!

First Swim Class

Today's swim class went well. We were a few minutes late because I drove past the pool a few times, but all was good as soon as we got in the water. Sofia enjoyed being on her belly and reaching out for the toys that were floating around. She wasn't too thrilled about being on her back. She kicked a little and I couldn't get her to blow bubbles. But tomorrow's another day and maybe she'll do it then! For the last 5 or so minutes she was getting sleepy - it was nap time - so she wouldn't let go of me.
