Happy Easter!

Sofia loved her first try at coloring hard boiled eggs.

Easter morning egg hunting...

The Easter Bunny even made a stop at Aunt Cori's house!

The little girls even got some egg-hunting action in the living room...

Aunt Cori even planned an art activity. Here are Sofia's eggs!

Egg Hunt #2

At my work, National Honor Society held their 6th annual Egg Hunt for staff. Sofia did much better than at our neighborhood hunt and Vivian even got a few eggs.

There are still eggs out there!

Egg Hunt #1

Our neighborhood has an Eggstravaganza every year. This year Sofia was able to get 2 eggs, which is about right for her at this event. The problem is that they only separate it into infants and everyone else. Sofia is also not the best egg hunter. She sees an egg across the field that she wants and she skips all the others on her way there but someone beats her to it. She still had fun though. She got to eat popcorn, chips (from nachos), had a drink, picked flowers and played with a lady bug. She and V also spent some time playing on the park equipment.

Egg-stravaganza

Our neighborhood's annual Egg-stravaganza event was this weekend.

Daddy and Sofia headed to the bounce house.
Sofia bouncing with one of my co-worker's daughters.
After the bounce house it was time to tackle the playground.
She climbed all the way up with no help!
What's the best part of a cupcake?
The icing, of course!

Waiting to "hunt" (gather) eggs.
Giving sissy a hug.
And they're off!

The big kids (and some parents) made their way across the field and left it clean.

After the 5 minute egg gathering event Sofia made her way back to the bounce house where she got to bounce with one of her friends from daycare. We then had hot dogs and potato chips for lunch and headed home for naps.

Happy Easter

Sofia started her morning hunting eggs from the Easter Bunny in our backyard. Lucy had to help out a little.
These eggs were filled with yummy jelly beans!
Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house where the Easter Bunny left more eggs for Audrey and Sofia.
This time he left lots of stickers and little toys!

On Thursday, my work had its annual Egg Hunt. Sofia over-filled her basket with all the goodies.
On a side note, Sofia has taken to lining up her kitchen items on our coffee table. Where did she get this idea? We don't know.

Penguin, Easter Eggs and Birthday Cake

Yesterday Sofia told me it was time to change Penguin's diaper (or as she says "pwen-gun's dah-pur") so she ran off to her room with Penguin. This is what I found shortly after...

Saturday was our neighborhood's HOA Easter Egg Hunt. There were tons of eggs but even more kids. Sofia waited very patiently for the fire truck to blow its horn so everyone could pick up eggs. She managed to get 2 before they were all gone. Those older kids sure were fast!

Sunday, Sofia attended a birthday party for the daughter of one of Mommy's friends. They all had such a great time eating cake then making a bear at Build A Bear.
Sia created a doggy named Sticker.

After the party, we made a stop by the carousel. She was warn out.

And for those of you wondering, Sofia is scheduled to get tubes put in Tuesday morning. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and she'll be back to her normal self (plus additional hearing) soon afterward!

Happy Easter

This is what happens when you leave a just-under-2 year old in the living room alone within reach of a tissue box...

Daddy and Sofia rolled a ball back and forth in the kitchen. Lucy stopped by to see what was going on.

Our sleeping toothpick.

This was the sun on Thursday. The smoke and ash in the air was so thick we were sure the wildfires were in our county, but apparently it had traveled from 2 counties over...

And there were so many pictures from Easter, I put them in a slide show. Click on the icon in the bottom right corner to access the album to view them individually.
