Saturday

Yesterday morning I heard V making noise on the monitor. The next thing I hear is Sofia "reading" to her. I grabbed my camera and this is what I found. Notice Sia holding the book like Ms. Heather does and V watching from her crib.
After afternoon naps, Sofia spent some time playing at Vivian's sitter's house. Her granddaughter and a boy who used to be in Sofia's class at her daycare were there. Apparently they had TONS of fun!
And a random picture of V sleeping. I realized earlier that I don't have many pics of her sleeping.

Coconut

Sofia experienced her first coconut. First they drained and tried the coconut milk. Sofia decided she didn't like it.
Mommy and Vivian stopped by to check it out.
Lucy did too... sort of.

After trying the coconut milk Sofia also tried the "meat" and decided she didn't like that either. Daddy then shredded it into a bowl and added some sugar and a little coconut milk. It sure was tasty!

And now for some random pictures...

Vivian's First Days at Home

Car ride home from the hospital.
Lucy, curious about this new baby.
Sofia feeding Vivian all by herself!
Unknown to me, apparently it's not uncommon to get cankles after delivery, not just before. This is the first and only time I swelled up. I'm still waiting for them to get back to normal.
Vivian's first bath at home.
Vivian's first doctor's appointment - to check her jaundice levels.
Everything checked out okay!
Catching a quick cat-nap at the doc's office.
Mommy's morning cocktail.
Vivian sleeping in her crib. She looks so small!
Great Gramma and Aunt Kay stopped by for a visit.

Stubborn Little Thing

Sofia decided this day that she didn't want to take a nap. Since she wasn't allowed to come out of her room until she slept, this is what she did... then fell asleep... :)

Doesn't it look a lot like this or this sleeping picture?

First Paci-Free Nap

This weekend Sofia's pacifiers left the house. Sofia wasn't very happy about their departure. But in the end, she slept without it.

I'm hoping after tonight things will be better.

Past Due Post

Things are getting hectic these days with Mommy back at work full time and Daddy starting a new project at work. Sorry if it's a bit longer between posts than before...

Sofia was fascinated by the caterpillar they found in Ms. Vicki's lawn the other day. So, the next day Sofia got to make a caterpillar out of an egg carton. That evening she decided to rearrange the decorations...

Don't ever feed a dog shrimp or scallops (not even one piece that falls on the floor while your 2 year old eats) or you may come home to this... (Dave rented a carpet cleaner from Home Depot and it looks pretty good now!) Poor Lucy had it coming out of both ends while we were at work on Friday. :(

Sofia spent Saturday night at Gramma's. On the way home on Sunday she got to play with the wind with the windows down. :)

Sleeping Beauty.
She's getting close to out growing her crib.
We moved the comforter from the chair to her bed. And yes, she still sleeps with her head shoved in the corner.
:)
