Start of Summer

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. My summer didn't begin until a week ago and in the past week I've tried to get caught up on all the doctor and dentist appointments we've been putting off for me and Sofia, in addition to throwing in swim lessons and still showing our house... Needless to say, it's been very busy around here.

One afternoon, Sofia put several of her stuffed animals to bed. They were covered with a blanket until I moved it to see what was underneath.

After Daddy got home on Sia's birthday, we took a trip to Build-a-Bear where Sia picked out a pink flamingo and named it Amingo.

We ended the day with cupcakes!

The next day Sofia got to play in her new flower sprinkler twice. She (and Daddy) had a ball.

Sia's birthday party was at Chuck E Cheese's. She wasn't so sure about things when we first arrived.

Sia's last official day with her in-home daycare provider was on Monday. She's been with her for 2 years. We'll miss you!

Busy Days

Mommy and Daddy have been incredibly busy with work lately. But we were able to take some time our of the hectic-ness to hang out with Sofia.

Mommy bought a sweatshirt for the new school she works at. Sofia pretended to be E.T. as she ran around the house in it.

Friday was the last day for the other girl who has spent the last year at daycare with Sofia. On Monday she's off to Kindergarten.

To celebrate her "graduation" to kindergarten, they had a pajama party in the living room

And enjoyed some cake (and presents).

Sofia will miss her dearly but will also enjoy the new addition, the infant old daughter of one of Mommy's former teammates. :)

Sofia's New Sitter

I realized this weekend that I didn't have any pictures of Sofia and her new sitter. so this morning (on my first day with kids) I tried to get some pics.

Sofia wasn't happy that I was there and not taking care of her crying needs. The other girl the sitter watches does such a good job helping take care of Sofia. And as always, Sofia was the center of attention...


They got playing as soon as I left.
