We tried out the same art activity that Aunt Cori had at Easter

Coconut

Sofia experienced her first coconut. First they drained and tried the coconut milk. Sofia decided she didn't like it.
Mommy and Vivian stopped by to check it out.
Lucy did too... sort of.

After trying the coconut milk Sofia also tried the "meat" and decided she didn't like that either. Daddy then shredded it into a bowl and added some sugar and a little coconut milk. It sure was tasty!

And now for some random pictures...

Second Snow of the Year

We had an ice storm come through Monday night/Tuesday morning causing school to be canceled for the remainder of the week; an unprecedented 4 days in a row! Since it was ice -and not very impressive- we didn't take any pictures of it.

Friday morning, however, a snow storm came through dumping around 5-6 inches of snow on top of the unmelted 1 inch or so of ice.

A birdie stopped by to say hi.

Cousins' Breakfast

With much of the Hamaker family in town for Great Gramma's birthday event in the evening, the cousins decided it would be a great idea to meet up earlier in the day while the Aunts were busy doing stuff together. After calling around trying to find a breakfast place to hold all 20 of us, Dave and I decided to host the event at our house.

Theresa made an appearance via phone call.
A couple of the uncles stopped by to say hi.

Everyone seemed to have a good time getting reacquainted.

The food after the first rush.
Lucy found a friend in Julia. :)

After everyone left and we cleaned up, Sofia helped Daddy open his birthday present.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve we stopped by Frisco Square to listen to the music and watch the lights. If you haven't been, I recommend going next year.

It was too cold to stay outside so we finished our watching from inside the car :)
