The Aftermath

A couple weeks ago, Sofia played in the backyard by herself for quite a while. 

This is what was left in the aftermath.

Yes, she "planted" her flower sprinkler head.

Sofia attended a birthday party at Main Event and go to go bowling for the first time. 

The first half of the game she used the ramp but after that she was a pro and ditched it.

 Not bad!

She also got to try her hand at Skee-Ball and racing...

Saturday

Yesterday morning I heard V making noise on the monitor. The next thing I hear is Sofia "reading" to her. I grabbed my camera and this is what I found. Notice Sia holding the book like Ms. Heather does and V watching from her crib.

After afternoon naps, Sofia spent some time playing at Vivian's sitter's house. Her granddaughter and a boy who used to be in Sofia's class at her daycare were there. Apparently they had TONS of fun!
And a random picture of V sleeping. I realized earlier that I don't have many pics of her sleeping.

Sprinkler Fun

One of Sofia's favorite things these days is to play in her flower sprinkler.

Trying to get a drink before Daddy lets it go full blast again.

Abuelo's Visit and the Fall Festival

Abuelo (Dave's dad) came to visit last week. One night, Cori and Adam came over for dinner. After dinner they and Sofia snook drinking all of the left over pork juice. Yum.

Playing in the Rain

I know it's been forever since I posted pictures. We've been a bit busy.

Our little princess entertaining herself in the kitchen while we cooked dinner.

Last Thursday we had a down-pour after we got home. Dave and Sia took advantage of it.

This butterfly stopped by on Friday.

Saturday morning Sofia came in to show us her "lipstick". Apparently we shouldn't leave the crayons out.

She climbed up there by herself. She's a Daddy's girl for sure.

Penney's Birthday

Mommy celebrated yet another birthday last week.

Sofia helped open presents.

Mommy was super happy with her new camera.

Most pictures in this post were taken with it.

That weekend, Daddy took Mommy to the Melting Pot to celebrate.

Then on Sunday we all headed to Grandma and Grandpa's to celebrate again.

Sofia got to play in the water for a little while.

Trip to San Antonio

A few days after returning from NYC, Sofia and I flew to San Antonio to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa who were already there. This was Sofia's 2nd trip by air; the first was to San Diego last summer.

Sofia loved flying in and above the "marshmallow clouds".

Dinner on our own. (Grandma and Grandpa were at a banquet with Grandma's accountant friends)

San Antonio Botanical Gardens

They had different "play houses and forts" set up all around the garden grounds for kids to explore. Grandpa and Mommy jumped in the fun too!

Sofia handled all the flying bugs very well. She didn't even freak out and scream when several bees, flys and butterflys came in for a closer look.

Penguin was never too far away.
