It's about time...

After many years and many doctors, Dave finally had his arm nerve surgeries done today. They moved his ulnar nerve (funny bone) and cut a muscle/tendon in his shoulder to relieve his thoracic outlet syndrome. The surgery center told him that he had to be there by 8:30 for his 10:30 surgeries even though he went in on Friday to do his pre-op stuff. So we got there at 8:10 and he wasn't taken into the OR until 11:45!!! That was an insane wait!

Before the surgery...

Immediately following...

A different view...

We're now home and Sofia wants to be held by and hug her daddy so bad but that will have to wait several days if not at least a week.

If any of you want to stop by this weekend or any time next week (my spring break) to rescue me from being a single parent... I'm here!!! :)

Glad he is doing okay. I hope he is more coherent then in that picture. Is he gonna come after you for posting that picture?

I'm glad to hear he's doing well.

Do you know which muscle they cut? I was doing research and I want to see if what they did is what I've been reading about. :)

DeAun - It was the pectoralis minor at the something-or-another process. Apparently Dr. Burkhead (his doc) has written a few papers on it or something.
