Each year TCEA (Texas Computer Educators Association) holds it's conference in Austin. Frisco pays for the Tech Facilitators to go every other year. I was supposed to go last year but was unable to travel so, lucky for me, they let me go this year!

Tori Belleci from Mythbusters was the Opening Session Keynote speaker. He was a fun one to hear present. It also helped that they showed a few compilation videos of various things from the show along with his audition tape from 9 years ago. Funny stuff!

We got a better picture the next day on Kristy's camera but she didn't send me the picture yet.
The event runs all week with teachers, school districts and vendors presenting hundreds of sessions Wednesday morning through Friday morning. Another Tech Facilitator and I presented "Anyone Can ePUBlish" on Friday morning. Usually not many people are there Friday morning since they typically leave Thursday evening. We had a larger turn-out than we expected! Our co-workers counted around 100 in attendance!

On our way home, we stopped off in West, Texas to pick up kolachies at the Czech Stop and then in Italy, Texas to get our pictures taken at the space ship and dome houses.

You can tour these things! They're crazy!
