We were given a prescription for an epi-pen because of her reaction to dairy foods. The last thing that caused a reaction on her face was the powder on french onion sun chips last weekend. The pedi wants us to have the epi-pen on hand just in case. He also gave me orders to get her blood drawn for a respiratory allergy profile and a food allergy profile.

The pedi said she should have at least 2 to 3 words down for now. She says "dada" when my cell phone rings or when she sees Dave so we counted that as one and now she also says "gaw-gee" when she sees Lucy so I guess that counts as a second. We're supposed to keep encouraging her to continue talking (like she doesn't babble enough as it is... hehe).

If you need an allergist, I have a great one who has a couple days at Baylor Frisco. I've been seeing him since I was about 10.
i think those "your kid, being at the age they are, should be able to do such-and-such" lists are whack. they freak parents out. "ohmyogdmykidisntdoingwhateverbythisage!" god forbid it take an extra few months for some kids. not your kid. just in general. sophia talking a lot already is a good thing. who cares whether she has actual words.
